Hey! My name is Leia, and I'm 19 years old. I'm currently a sophomore at Point Loma Nazarene University, majoring in Journalism with a concentration in Creative Writing, and minoring in Theatre. I discovered my love for acting when I was in the fourth grade, and we were putting on the play of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." We didn't have auditions, but we were cast solely on our ages [it was a combonation 3rd/4th grade class, so all the fourth graders were cast as the parents while the third graders got to play the kids.] The drama teacher for the school cast me as Mrs. Gloop, and caused me to fall in love with being on the stage. If it weren't for that experience in my life, I never would have thought that acting could be the thing that would guide me to chase my dreams. Since then, I've participated in many school plays, skits, drama groups and clubs, and have began to pursue my dream of becoming a professional actress. I hope to be able to gain more experience in the film, television, and theatre industries as well as I continue to live the dream and shoot for the stars.

For me, pursuing a career in acting is not about being famous. It's about doing what I love, and entertaining others in the process. I love to help others; it's just in my nature as a human being. And if I can take someone's mind off the perils of the world for even a second through my talent, I know the world could be a better place, if only for a moment in the life of one individual. Acting is my passion, it's what fuels my dreams and desires. My goal is to get cast in as many roles as I can, gaining me exposure along the way, and helping me climb that ladder of success that we all try so hard to climb. And if I do gain that coveted fame that so many people long for, it would be such a blessing in my life, to be looked at as a role model in our society and prove that an average girl from an average lifestyle truly can achieve her dreams, if she only puts her mind to it.
